Hi, I am Rachael, Vice Principal for Therapeutic practice and health; with responsibility for the therapies (including Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy), health and families teams.
I am a qualified social worker and coach with therapeutic training in both forensic and clinical assessment and intervention. I have worked with children, young people and families for over 15 years in secure environments and community settings; including managing a multi systemic therapy service; introducing psychologically and trauma informed care in a secure setting and working directly with children and families presenting as high risk, high harm and high vulnerability.
I graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a degree in Social Policy, Criminal Justice and Psychology before undertaking further training in Psychology; Dual Diagnosis (Mental health and substance use); Social Work; DDP; Harmful Sexual Behaviour; violence and aggression; and coaching.
I am passionate about working restoratively and in collaboration with children; families and systems to support development and change, and challenge inequality.
Outside of school life, I enjoy going to the gym, walking, dancing, reading and spending time with my family. I love to travel, experience new cultures and explore the world.
